Recycling

As well as our engineering services OSM also run a sister company established to promote the recycling of textiles for use in third world countries.

Recycling is now a common part of waste management although textile and clothing recycling is not as commonly known but can significantly reduce the amount of waste going to landfill.

Our Aim

Our aim is to promote awareness and active participation in all recycling in the community and industry, and provide a financial highlight and flashing incentive to those involved.

This will be achieved using best working practices and by following the latest environmental procedures and guidelines.

Why Recycle Textiles

Garments and shoes in reasonable condition can be re-worn by needy peoples throughout the world. Old cloth e.g. curtains and bed linen can be re-used to make clothing fabrics or carpet underlay or insulation.

Over 70% of the world’s population use second hand clothes. Create local employment e.g. van drivers, workshop operatives, machine operatives and administration staff.
